The Ohio Advisory Board was organized in March 2002 with stakeholders representing teacher education,
P-12 teachers and administrators, legislators, the Ohio Department of Education, and the Ohio Board of Regents.
The addition of Battelle for Kids, the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Ohio, and the
Inter-University Council allows for the input of these organizations on policies and procedures before they are
implemented. The Board meets at the beginning of the fall and spring Ohio Confederation of Teacher Education
Organization (OCTEO) conferences each year. The purpose of the meeting is to share progress on each of the
studies and to provide a significant block of time for board members to give feedback, especially as issues
relate to the constituencies they represent.
