Ohio Department of Education

The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) has supported the Teacher Quality Partnership since the project began. An award of $100,000 provided a portion of the start-up expenses in summer of 2001. The Ohio budget provides $100,000 for each year of the 2005-2007 biennial budget within the Ohio Department of Education allocation.

In addition to this financial commitment, ODE sends a delegate to the Ohio Advisory Board and to the quarterly research team meetings. Databases of information already collected by ODE have been made available to TQP for purposes of adding new demographic information and to allow for contacts with Entry Year Teachers and Coordinators. The collaboration between ODE and TQP is a significant contribution to the continuing success of the project.
